Introducing Treat-ments – Self Care That You Can Revel In
As a healer, I have to be really on top of my own self care so that I can continue to provide support to my patients. I have a few simple techniques that I use to relax and rejuvenate myself and these have a huge impact on my health.
Self Care = Health Care
I wanted to share these practices because so many of patients are coming to me worn down and drained. We’ve learned that hard work is virtuous and pampering is selfish, but we need to take a closer look at these beliefs if we really want long-term health and well being.
When I’m feeling depleted and I don’t address it, right away I can see the repercussions. Poor digestion, bad quality sleep, irritability, poor concentration, are just a few of the red flags that let me know that I need to get back to my self care practices.
We have this idea that choosing the healthy option is usually not a lot of fun. Self care doesn’t have to be a chore on your list – it can be a treat you give yourself. I’ll share a few of the practices that I use and I hope that some of them will connect with where you’re at right now. You can always switch these up, as life changes.
